Foreword II: The chapter of Original Chi (Elementary Introduction)

The Yang in the body is more than Yin in the body when people get into the full mature stage, where Yang represents the full enough blood and vitality and otherwise Ying represents the lack and weakness of blood and vitality. Generally, in the full mature stage, people's greedy fire is exuberant. In that stage, the Yang is plentiful, however, the Ying is vanishing stepwisely (strong but decreasing). Even though it still has more Yang, it cannot dominate the hundreds ill attacks. The body gets ill finally and it is called punishment after inverting the virtue. The state of an exhausted body is called punishment. Following the higher wisdom, you should exercise Waitankung in a hurry as a workout ladder to recover your healthy body and happiness when you still have little remaining Yang. In the state of having remaining Yang, your body is still strong and does not get serious sickness. The state of a happy body and long lives is called a harmonious meeting of virtue and punishment. That is , the body is weak but is getting better gradually. Where, the punishment is called weakness and virtue is called robustness. 

In the stage of three autumns, ie. in late autumn which represents people's late years, everything is dying and decaying. It is the same as humans in the age of sixties, the Ying in the body is still more larger and the Yang is then more lesser. Chi (air) is decaying day after day. If people in the age of sixties with remaining Yang exercises Waitankung, it can recover the Yang. It is the rejuvenation and longevity fruit , ie. it renews the dotage into youth. You should not bend at your desk to continuously read all the time, which is called punishment too. You should return the punishment back into the virtue state again to save your life rapidly.

The way of Waitankung keeps the method of numbering nine. The reason is that Yang starts from number one and accomplishes at number nine. It is in the extreme when the number of Yang reaches nine. Then the number of Yang turns back into number one after reaching the extreme state of number nine. It is called the end of number nine and turns back again into number one. The end will turn back to the origin starting again and again. Chi and blood then circulate the whole body without obstacles. It is called the Origin Inclusion.

To get Original Chi of Waitankung, you should calm down and regulate your breathing in the Preliminary Movement. It can open the roads of Chi and blood without obstacles in a smooth way. It is like the transformation of oneself into oneself in Buddhism.  It is also like nourishing the mind of emptiness in Taoism. In the Preliminary Movement, you should exercise leisurely without hard forcing. You should also be calm and peaceful and entrust your will to emptiness to wait for the coming of Original Chi. The Original Chi comes from emptiness and it vibrates the fingers slowly by then. Entrusting your will to emptiness for one hundred days, your face will infiltrate with red and wet colors. Your body becomes strong and can work hard without being tired. Entrusting your will to emptiness for three hundred days, the Original Chi of Waitankung can fill the whole body, infiltrate the internal organs, and moisturize the skins. It then reaches the state of decaying punishment and recovering virtue. That is, the ill is gone and the health comes back again. Should I not get back healthy and happy again by then?

The Original Chi vaporizes rosy clouds and shines with golden lights. It infiltrates the whole body and circulates all meridians without obstacles.
