Movement 6: Body Slanting (Left)
A: Title
The Movement of Walking on the Ice against the Headwind (Left), in the short title as The Movement of Body Slanting (Left).
B: Methods
The feet return back aligned with the edges of the inner shoulders. The right foot shifts outward 45 degrees. Lift up the left heel. The left foot takes a step forward on the front left with slanting the body 25 degrees ahead and heading still. At the same time, hug your hands on the lower abdomen, while putting the left hand on the navel and putting the right hand on the back of the left hand. In addition, pull up your spine and back. The nose inhales but the lower abdomen is sunken. Let the Chi attach to your back tightly. The nose sounds Heng slightly. The eyes look at the ground downward. See Picture 06. The scene is like a person putting his hands into his sleeves and walking on the river ice against the hard and strong headwind in the severe winter season around the Northern area.
The left foot moves back and stands straight upright. Then, push back the Chi on the spine to your lower abdomen. At the same time, exhale the Chi of the lower abdomen out your mouth and sound Ha by your mouth. The singers should practice this movement to improve the Chin of your lower abdomen.
The front left foot touches down on the ground and the heel of the right foot lifts up, which can lead the Chi to move. Pulling the spine and back upward can make the Chi attach to the back tightly. The head stretching outward can lead and activate the Thrusting meridian. This movement belongs to one of the Attaching the Chi to the Back Calisthenics. The nose sounds Heng can vibrate the Thrusting meridian. It has the function of circulating the Yingchi and Weichi within the whole body. The Yingchi is in the meridian, and the Weichi is out of the meridian. The Weichi goes through the internal organs to reach the skin and hairs and can defend the Weichi. The Weichi goes through the meridians to circulate within the whole body.
C: Remarks
Bend the body to make the Chi attach your back tightly. The hands hug on the navel. The spine and back pull up. The eyes look at the ground.D: Photos
