Appendix II: How to promote Waitankung?

Waitankung is not only an exercise (kung fu) of traditional national culture for self-refining and workout, but also is a recreational activity that can promote people's health for middle and old-aged people. While a country going through the industrialization and in the movement of culture renaissance nowadays, it even more has the value to promote Waitankung after discovering the functions of Waitankung. Hope that everyone can promote this meaningful and valuable traditional culture earnestly by teamworks.

A: Holding study forums

The government of the county or city education departments can convene the physical education teachers of junior and elementary schools,  and the Waitankung enthusiasts of folk social persons to participate in the Waitankug study forum. The study forum can introduce and explain the exercising contents of Waitankung systematically and make people participate in the exercises in the fields. Then it can help the schools and societies to promote Waitankung rapidly and universally.

B: Promoting Waitankung everywhere

Waitankung has been promoted in societies, schools, factories, institutions, and local units, etc.. The people can participate in the study forums held by the county or city government and the Taichung Sports Stadium. The people including the principals, teachers and the persons of public-spiritedness in the society can participate in the study forums in the schools or out the schools to promote  Waitankung.

C: Holding observation tours for Waitankung periodically

The schools with different levels and social societies can hold observation tours for Waitankung in holidays irregularly. The schools or social societies can be divided into groups to hold these observation tours periodically. The related institutions including the sport department of education bureau, the provincial sport stadiums,  and the members of Chinese Waineitankung Research Association, can select and praise the excellent study forums in order to expand these effects and influences. 

D: Holding appreciation and contests for Waitankung

It can hold the appreciation and contests for Waitankung at school anniversary and the meeting of mothers and sisters. The schools can also hold appreciation and contests with the societies together and encourage them in a suitable way. It also can invite the business people and social persons to participate in these grand events together, too.

一、簡介 張志通大師天津市人，民國九年十二月一日生，父鴻勳公，信奉回教，曾任教長，母韓氏，九歲喪父，賴母扶養成人，大師聰慧過人，七歲入小學、天津師範學校畢業，從常振榮大師學習彈腿，拜張銳為師，學習五行通臂拳，後經銳師介紹再投入張喆名下，傳授五行通臂拳，十年苦修，技藝精進，遂有傑出成就，民國三十五年曾任天津國術館長大力推行國術運動，名震天津，三十七年十二月時局緊迫，大師奉銳師命攜丹功秘笈來台。 三十八年秋任職台北縣九份國小，因瑞芳地區多雨，氣候潮濕，大師疾病纏身，遂啟錦盒按丹冊練功，半年恢復健康，經十八年苦修，丹功已有所成就。五十六年調永和頂溪國小，再經十二年苦修，累計共苦煉三十年，外內丹功大成。之後開始教導學生彈腿，公開傳授丹功，習者日眾，後竟遍及全省家喻戶曉，練功者眾，曾達三百萬人，對造福社會大眾功績至偉。 本文即是張志通大師，所創之外丹功十二式功架之列表，並將在其在文章中分別詳細說明各式的練法。 外丹功是一門古遠就存在的功法，傳下來的共有15式，傳承至張志通大師後，張大師只公開傳授12式。經咨詢請教張大師親傳入室弟子蘇慶忠總幹事，有關外丹功十二式的式名與式序如下： 張志通大師所公開傳授的外丹功十二式，第一式為預備式，第十二式為健壯步履仙鶴功又名大仙鶴步功，但此式不包括小仙鶴步功。 小仙鶴步功不屬於外丹功12式，但確實是屬於外丹功功法中的一部份。 小仙鶴步功是為了取代「（正統的）散功」，亦即在練完外丹功12式後，要將身上的熱氣散開，要讓翻騰的氣息能夠調和平靜下來，以備進行下一個功法。當然，小仙鶴步功的功用不僅僅是散功而已，還能生成更多的好處，也就是說，已將很多的好東西包括進來。 小仙鶴步是練習外丹功12式後，要接著練的功法，所以仍舊要明確表示出來，但為避免與外丹功12式的式號（或式序）有所混淆，所以設定如下：式名：小仙鶴步功；式序：散步式。 張大師說：預備式在發動先天氣…外丹功十二式不外行氣（大師資料分享，黃國展堂記，摘自外內丹功雜誌第五期 72.8），又劉泰造理事長也說：預備式主要煉先天氣（精工之法-漢導引和外丹功預備式示範觀摩及講解，103年度台南市中華外內丹功運動協會會員大會，2014年9月13日）。上述的資料可以進行如下的理解：預備式主要是在發動先天炁，也就是，預備式在煉養先天炁，但因為預備式在發動先天炁後，先天炁亦會流遍全身，故也會行氣使用運行先天炁。 ...

丹發霞光通日月，炁生靈彩貫乾坤 中華外內丹功開台宗師 張志通大師遺囑，中華民國八十五年二月二十五日上午七時，於台南鹿耳門中華外內丹功道館，收錄於《 世界丹功宗師張志通大師箴言集(一) 》。 今天召集各位，因為我有話要講。我活著是名言，我走了，就算是遺言吧！ 道館從七十四年奠基到現在已十有餘年，在此十年中，大家不眠不休為道館服務，任勞任怨沒有爭執，我深受感動。 蓋道館完成歷史任務，是大家的福份。道館已蓋起來，大陸同道反應，回教國家也有反應。馬來西亞、印尼和新加玻，他們都熱衷外丹功活動，將來我們外丹功要派那些人出去服務？目前印尼需要我們同道支援，大馬需要我們同道支援，究竟給我們多少，他們沒講，我們也不能計較。 我們道館到此程度，應該是恭賀新禧。我們裏邊並沒有安定，等安定後我再推動，要看我們安定的時間來做決定。 你們幾位外丹功的生力軍，我想時間還沒到，暫且不推動，需要等一點時間，我們要像抗戰打了八年才完成。將來派各位到大陸上各地看看，那個時間去，要找良好的機會。 師門弟子 孫傑三、廉朝棟、林慶雲、蘇慶忠、邱玉嬌、楊秀美、張坤明 等含淚謹記。
