Movement 8: Arms Whirling (Right)

A: Title

The Movement of Arms Whirling toward the Sky (Right), in the short title as The Movement of Arms Whirling (Right).

B: Methods

  1. The feet are aligned with the edges of the outer shoulders. Hang down arms beside the thighs with palms beside the legs. Stretch out fingers loosely. The eyes look ahead  horizontally.
  2. The arms lift up ahead and whirl in a circle starting from the front body to the back body. While lifting up arms above the head, turning the palms and putting down the arms outward toward the shoulders to the front chest. It then whirls in a circle. The two palms are opposite to each other in still. It takes three times of arms whirling.  Turn your head right for each whirling and be back immediately upright. After the third arms whirling, lift up your arms straight above your head in still. The fingers are upward toward the sky. Two palms are opposite to each other. The arms are stretched out vertically, relaxing and straight. See Picture 08. The arms hold on for 20 seconds and let the Chi reach to the fingers.
  3. Sounding Ha one time for each whirling with turning your head can strengthen your tendons and bones externally and sustain your internal organs.
  4. The method of Arms Whirling Calisthenics is assisted by sounding Ha. This movement can be exercised by left move or right move, separately or consecutively. In the left movement, all the methods are the same as the ones in the right movement, except turning your head left.
