Movement 10: Left Leg Trembling

A: Title

The Movement of Kidney Maintaining by Left Leg Trembling, in the short title as The Movement of Left Leg Trembling, or Left Leg Trembling.

B: Abstract

  1. Harmonize the activities of bone segments, tendons, and meridians around the thighs.
  2. It can make kidneys strong.
  3. To exercise this movement, it has great healthy help for legs, kidneys, and bladder to the middle and old-aged people.

C: Methods

  1. Straighten your body. The right leg stands, which can be straight or in little bending. Take the preliminary activities as follows as usual. That is, straighten up your head. And, the tongue tip touches the ridge of the upper teeth. The upper and lower teeth are in touch with each other slightly. The eyes look ahead horizontally.  Breathe naturally. After that, for each hand, fold your index finger, 3rd, and 4th fingers in the palm, while the thumb and the fifth finger stretch outward as in the form of out-toeing. The fifth fingers are upright toward heaven and the thumbs are faced down the ground. Two arms are stretched outward without any force beside the thighs with slightly lifting up. Two hand backs are leveled vertically to the wrists. See Picture 11.
  2. Lift up your left leg in the left front for a half step above the ground. Press your toes down then lift your toes up again. A pressing and a lifting are to be a round. You should take nine rounds.
  3. (Move the left leg backward to the rear left.) Open and relax your left crotch with the knee being straight slightly. To wait quietly for the coming of Original Chi. While activating the Original Chi, it vibrates starting from the toes, then to the legs, chest, and lower abdomen. The vibration lasts for about thirty seconds. Then put your left foot down on the ground and hang your right foot in the air. Take nine rounds of pressing and lifting your right toes, too. (Move the right leg backward to the rear right.) Open and relax your right crotch with the knee being straight slightly. To wait quietly for the coming of Original Chi. While activating the Original Chi, take thirty seconds for the vibration. You should hold on your arms without moving while changing your legs and taking the exercise of pressing and lifting your foot. 

Notes: (Move the left leg backward to the rear left.) and (Move the right leg backward to the rear right.) are the exercising moves taught by Grand Master Chang Chih-Tung in the post period. These exercising moves are not edited in the original book.

D: Remarks

  1. Trembling the single leg can make your kidneys strong.
  2. Your bladder can be opened and smooth.
  3. Your small intestine can be clear and unobstructed.
